Types

There can be three types of Autonomous Systems depending on their connections and operation.

• First one is A multihomed AS. With the help of this connections to more than one ISP can be maintainedso AS remains connected to the internet in the event of a complete failure of one of their ISPs.
• Second is A stub AS. In this AS is only connected to a single ISP.
• Last is A transit AS. It provides connections through itself to the networks connected to it.
